Guides Getting ready
GTA VI launch-week checklist
Dates, editions and practical steps for November 19, using only details that are confirmed or clearly sourced.
The key dates
- November 12, 2026: digital pre-load reportedly opens, and retail boxes reportedly arrive.
- November 19, 2026: official launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Before November 20, 2026: reported cut-off for the Vintage Vice City Pack bonus.
Before launch
- Free up storage. Rockstar hasn't published a final install size in the sources we checked, so leave plenty of room.
- If you bought a boxed copy, expect a download code instead of a disc (reported). A fast connection matters either way.
- Turn on automatic downloads on your console so the pre-load starts on its own.
Which edition?
Reported pricing is $79.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, which adds story-themed digital items such as vehicles, weapons and apparel. The story is the same in both.
What we're not claiming
We haven't listed install sizes, unlock times by region, or launch-day patch details because we couldn't verify them. We'll add them here once they're confirmed.
