How cheats work in GTA V

Three ways to enter a cheat

• Controller: enter the button sequence during gameplay.
• Phone: dial the cheat's number on the in-game phone. This works on current consoles and PC.
• PC: type the code into the cheat console, opened with the ~ key (¬ on UK keyboards).

The catch

Using a cheat disables achievements and trophies. GTA BOOM says this lasts for the rest of the current play session; reloading a save from before you cheated restores them. Don't save while cheats are active.

Story mode only

Cheats work in GTA V's story mode, not GTA Online.
