News Pre-load
GTA VI pre-load starts November 10, up to 212 GB
Rockstar says digital pre-loading for Grand Theft Auto VI begins Tuesday, November 10 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the download is up to 212 GB.
Rockstar Games announced on its Newswire that digital pre-loading for Grand Theft Auto VI begins on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, ahead of the game's November 19 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
According to Forbes and Video Games Chronicle, pre-loading opens at midnight local time on PlayStation 5 and at 12 AM GMT on Xbox Series X|S (4 PM PT / 7 PM ET on November 9 in the US).
Rockstar says the download is up to 212 GB depending on the console, so it's worth clearing space now. Pre-loading lets you download early; it doesn't let you play early. The game unlocks on November 19.
Boxed retail copies are reported to arrive in stores from November 12. Those boxes contain a download code, so players buying physical copies will download the game too.
This replaces an earlier report that pre-loading would start November 12.
